Began in 1889 as City Lunatic Asylum Special Committee. Became a standing committee in 1892 as Lunatic Asylum Visiting Committee. This was changed to City Mental Hospital Visiting Committee in 1919 and the word "City" was dropped in 1925.
Discontinued in 1948 when responsibility for the Hospital transferred to the National Health Service. |
