AdminHistoryOriginally established as part of Bath Lane Elementary Schools in 1872. The school was taken over by the Newcastle Education Committee in 1904 and became a Council School. In 1937 the Infants' and Junior School combined. The children were evacuated in August 1939 to Cockfield and Whorlton, Co Durham. The school re-opened for two weeks in March 1940 in the St Paul's C of E School building but was then merged with Mitford Street School.
