<HEAD>Administrative History</HEAD>
<P>Starts in 1835 as Schools and Charities Committee. Changed to Schools, Charities and Hospitals Committee in 1841 when separate committees for individual hospitals were discontinued. Reverted to Schools and Charities title in 1948 when responsibility for hospitals transferred to the National Health Service. Following the major reorganisation of Committees in 1967 it became Trusts Committee. Discontinued in 1968 when individual trusts began to maintain their own minutes.</P>
