| AdminHistory | By 1969 the Leazes Park Road and Gosforth and Kenton Synagogues (see C.NC65 and C.GO8) were both under threat of demolition and the Representative Council for Newcastle Jewry secured a site for a replacement synagogue complex at Culzean Park, Graham Park Road, Gosforth. Agreement was secured from the three existing congregations to form a United Hebrew Congregation which came into being on 1 March 1973. The existing buildings continued to be used for some time until the new synagogue was opened in 1986. |
