| AdminHistory | Opened September 1921 as a teacher training college for women, run by Newcastle upon Tyne Education Authority. It offerred training in infants, junior and secondary school teaching. While still operated by the local authority it became a constituent college of Durham University Institute of Education. It closed as a college of education in 1971 and Kenton Lodge is now a residential school. |
