AdminHistory | Opened in 1929 as a mixed boys' and girls' school with Commercial and Technical Departments. From September 1939 to December 1940 the school was evacuated to Workington and in common with other Newcastle schools, a separate log book was maintained. In 1946 the school was reorganised and separate boys' and girls' departments established. The boys' department was closed in 1959, the girls' continuing as Pendower Girls' High School, no longer with a purely commercial bias. |
